Yes, you will need a referral from your GP or non-GP specialist to see Dr Emma Tetstall. A valid referral allows you to access Medicare rebates where applicable and ensures Dr Tetstall has the right medical information to support your care. A referral from a GP is valid for 12 months whereas a non-GP specialist referral is valid for 3 months.

As Obstetric booking visits are often in high demand and appointments can book out well in advance, early contact is encouraged. Dr Emma Tetstall provides specialist gynaecological care for a range of women’s health concerns. This includes menstrual concerns, contraception advice, IUD insertion, abnormal bleeding, cervical screening follow-up, colposcopy, PMOS (previously known as PCOS) investigation and management. she also offers fertility and recurrent miscarriage investigation.

You will be contacted before your appointment for a copy of your referral, Medicare number, private health insurance details if relevant, any recent blood tests, ultrasound reports, imaging results and medication list. You are welcome to bring with you a list of any questions you would like to discuss. This helps Dr Tetstall understand your history and provide more informed care.
